Band Description: Formed in 2008, Formosa has remained a strong and dependable group, not only because of their musical compatibility but also due to a strong bond of friendship that has developed over the years. Phil and Laura have been playing together since early 2007 and continue to play weekly as an acoustic duo, with an extensive and growing repertoire. Simon and Chris have been friends for many years and have played together in several bands. This has developed their strong connection and musical synergy, which is fundamental to the band’s tight sound. Formosa regularly entertain audiences at weddings, corporate events and private parties and as experienced musicians they have performed live at many prestigious venues including: Ronnie Scotts, Blackpool Tower Ballroom, Winter Gardens, Imperial Hotel, Warner Hotels, DeVere Hotels, Village Hotels, Park Inn Hotel, The Priest House Hotel, The Djanogly Theatre and The Broadway Theatre amongst others. The band has invested in state-of-the-art equipment and is fully self contained with its own PA system and stage lighting, suitable for any type of event up to 400 people. Larger crowds and bigger venues have been accommodated with the help of a PA company with whom they have worked closely in the past.
