What kind of music do I want the band to play?

Not only is choosing the right band a massive decision for engaged couples, but before you can do that, perhaps even more importantly, comes the decision of choosing what kind of music you want!

One of the biggest mistakes that couples make is choosing a band just because they play the music that they like. For example, a couple may love the music of Coldplay so they book a band that does loads of Coldplay covers and songs of that genre.

The problem with that is, once your guests have had a few beers, are they gonna want to dance to 'Yellow' and 'Fix You' or are they going to want something a little more lively, perhaps dare we even say 'Cheesy'.

Nobody knows your guests better than you but. If you want to sit and listen to a band and you're hoping your guests will too, then choose a band that plays the stuff you love. If you want a band that will fill the dance floor, then you might have to sacrifice your taste a little bit in order to choose one that is guaranteed to get everyone on the dance floor and give them a night they'll never forget!!
